In the fire energy of summer it can sometimes feel like everything has to happen at once. Our rising energy makes us feel like we have super powers that can transcend time and space and circumstances, but alas we find that there are limits and that not everything can happen at once.
This week as we go from June to July, I will be practicing and encouraging patience and allowing things to unfold as they will. One thing does lead to another. If we can be independent of our overly ambitious will or desires, we can enjoy the path for each step and not just some specific destination.
As life resumes out in public, it is especially important to be patient and mindful of how we move on the path. There is no instruction guide to show us the way, so we have to figure that out in every interaction. Driving, interacting in restaurants, shops and gatherings - all these things are subject to everyone's will and desires which creates a sense of confusion, frustration and sometimes friction.
Patience and compassion can help us make our way forward sustainably. As we feel the push of change, we adapt to our circumstances. It feels more manageable when we do this with awareness and patience. If we don't check our impatience, we proceed from force and will and that is not sustainable or pleasant or wise.
As life resumes in public, I am making my way on the path of teaching yoga. There is a natural evolution taking place and I am navigating what is here. I am observing the pushes of change. I would like to apply some giddy up and jump ahead to when all of my classes are being taught in person, but we are not quite there yet.
In the coming weeks and months, I will be shifting the class schedule to align with the demands for In Person and Live Stream Classes. As the demand for Live Stream classes goes down, I will adjust what is offered. As the demand for In Person classes goes up, I will adjust what is offered. In fact, I am expanding In Person classes in August to include Tuesday classes.
Noon- 12:45 pm Yoga Refresh
6 pm Yin & Flow
I am aware that not everyone can make these classes or the Thursday classes, so I would like to get your input on times and days of the week. Please know that my teaching will be limited to Monday - Thursday. I am trying really hard to maintain a better work life balance and will not be working on Fridays and Saturdays. So please drop me a line (AndreaDyerYoga@gmail.com) and let me know the following:
What times of day would you attend an in person class?
What days of the week would you attend an in person class?
I would like to eventually expand to 8 classes a week...likely adding further classes this fall when we get past the summer vacation obstacles.
Look for Live Stream schedule changes in August - it's time to realign the classes based on attendance.

This week's class schedule has changed a bit. A little over a week ago, our friend, Rita Reynolds passed away. Her memorial service will be on Tuesday, June 29 at 10 am at St. Francis Episcopal on Lawndale. I have moved Slow Flow on Tuesday to 8 am and Gentle Soothing to Wednesday at 10 am. I thank you for your flexibility with the classes this week.

So the mantra this week is, "One Thing Leads To Another". Enjoy the journey!
Peace, Love and Summer's Fire!
