Greetings from Your Presidents! A new school year has begun. Our active members are busy in the classroom or school buildings. You may find active members on the playground or in a bus. |
If you are kicking off the new year, and you need something extra for your students – be sure to check out our Mini Grant Program. You should have received the Mini Grant Application in the mail. If you did not or you’ve misplaced your application, head to our website to print off a new one. Grant awards up to $200 are available. As a reminder, the due date is November 9, 2019. CDSRA supports various Community Service opportunities that benefit students, families, and teachers. Recently, financial assistance was provided for several school districts to support Homeless Liaisons and their work with homeless students. We will continue to support various programs throughout Chelan and Douglas County. This may entail financial help as well as individual members volunteering their time. We have Incredible programs coming up at our monthly lunch meetings at the Red Lion. Our speaker on October 14th will be Dr. Paul Gordon, the new superintendent in the Wenatchee School District. We will hear how he is immersing himself in the Wenatchee Valley, and his visions for the Wenatchee School District. Hope to see you in attendance. - Beverly Jagla & Kriss Crilly, Unit 2 Co-Presidents |

Email vs. Paper CDRSA Newsletters |
Each month CDSRA spends approximately $100 on producing and mailing the newsletter to our member-ship. That’s $900 a year that could be used for helping active members, training new leadership or supporting youth through our community projects. Sending you an email is free! Although we will still happily send you a paper newsletter if you would like; if you would be amenable to receiving your newsletter via email, please let us know. Send an email to us with a note stating that we may email you your copy of the newsletter: cdsra@outlook.com |
