Hello Round-Up Readers! Back in London from our amazing last-minute getaway to the Ritz-Carlton Abama in Tenerife, where I met Giulia Mundula, who recently joined the hotel from Doha, and runs marketing and communications for the 459-room resort. The stunning beachside property, owned by Blackstone, is in the middle of a beautiful multi-million Euro refurbishment of the villa suites and recently added a new hyper-local vegetable-forward restaurant concept, Verde Mar, managed by the welcoming Sheyla Fuentes. Tenerife's dramatic cliffs, mesmerizing turquoise sea, and diversity of experiences captivated us––from hiking around the barren landscape of volcanic Mt. Teide, Spain's tallest mountain, and finding the opposite in Anaga, a lush enchanted forest, to a speedy RIB boat tour to see dolphins and whales, swimming, and playing Padel every day...if Tenerife wasn't on your must-visit list before, it should be. We are back home feeling refreshed, the sign of a great holiday! We also spent a good amount of time just sitting on the beach, which has inspired this week's summer reading theme! What did you get up to over the long weekend and what are you reading? Email me if you have books or a travel hotspot to share! NYC Conferences this week! Are you in NYC for the NYU or BLLA conferences? Look out for Stacy Silver and Rayna Katz who will be covering those events for us. SOLD OUT! Our first "Morning Shift" event is happening this Friday, June 9 at the Four Seasons Ten Trinity Square in London, so excited to have an IRL meet-up of herteliers and learn about networking with Dr. Raina Brands! Now, let's get to the news... |
