Our client was living in Chicago when she had the opportunity to help run a company in Wisconsin. She was working and staying in Wisconsin during the week and going back to Chicago on the weekends. Once she knew she wanted to stay with the company she started looking for places to live within a 40 mile radius. Newport Shores was just about to break ground and she hired KMB Design/Consulting to work with her to design her new home.
This condo is on the 3rd floor of the new condo development in Port Washington, WI with views of the marina. We started by removing a bedroom to open up the Living Room and create a Dining Area and to increase the views to the marina. We designed the kitchen to be a cooks’ kitchen with a beautiful stove and quartzite running up the back wall that serves as a beautiful, textured backdrop to the kitchen as well as a living piece of art. We worked with local vendors like Kohler for all the plumbing fixtures, Lakeside Stoneworks for all the fabrication and installation of the natural stone and Gallas Metals for the custom range hood as well as Chicago vendors like The Fine Line, a lighting designer from California as well as a new line of lighting from Luke Lamp Co. that we found on Instagram.
This was a true collaboration with the client and vendors and the love and passion for the project hopefully comes through in the photos.
