OUR STORY The Flour Mill represents a longstanding ambition born from the vision of a small charming shop complimented by a comfortable apartment upstairs. Tracey Pritchard, was on the hunt for the perfect location to collaborate with her daughter Alex O’Shea. Already avid entrepreneurs, Tracey and Alex saw the shop as an opportunity to merge their existing business and work together in a new and exciting capacity. Their original modest vision gave way to a much bigger idea as Tracey’s son Nick Murphy, a Toronto based realtor, found 6 Water St South in St Mary’s, Ontario - a 150 year old heritage building right in the heart of the downtown. While it certainly exceeded the initial ambitions, the mill quickly became the ideal location. Situated just a short drive from the family’s former farm, where Tracey’s kids had spent their summers and where Alex eventually held her wedding, the area has always held a deep sentimental value. Tracey was immediately inspired by the potential of the property, and has spent the past three and a half years renovating the building with a design to revitalize and return it to the original integrity and beauty. Now the shop has become exactly the kind of destination food shop and social hub Alex and Tracey envision - a go-to for quality groceries, delicious coffee, leisurely Sunday brunches, custom catering and so much more. A welcoming space to share a passion for food and drink, rooted in family values with a focus on integrity and personal service, it still has so much potential to be explored. |
