November Meeting Details

We can't wait to see everyone at the November General meeting on Monday, November 14th at 7:00 pm. The meeting will be held in the Auditorium at Gifford Elementary School. We will be holding our club's annual Awards Night and Leader Recognition Celebration at this meeting. The theme is Ocean/Beach, so we encourage you to dress up accordingly (you could wear blue, sunglasses, beach hats, Hawaiian leis, etc). We can't wait to see all your creative attire! We will be playing some fun minute-to-win-it games and also doing some ocean themed trivia! There will also be refreshments for all afterwards. It should be an exciting meeting! We can't wait to see you there!

Record Books

In 4-H, record books are the means by which members keep track of their activities from year to year. They are used in determining awards but also serve as a wonderful reminder of past 4-H participation when members are graduated from the program. The process of reflecting on the 4-H year is a beneficial part of a member's overall 4-H experience.

Members who have completed all of the steps of the enrollment process will receive their record books at the November meeting. If time permits, we will walk through the pages and acquaint new members with what's required. Please be sure you have completed the following so you can receive your record book this month.

  • 4honline enrollment

  • Tucker google form

  • enrollment dues paid

Pancake Breakfast Signs

Please be sure to bring your yard signs to the November meeting or drop them off at the Weisensel's house.

October Meeting Re-Cap

Our October meeting was filled with Halloween fun!  Many of our members dressed in costumes, and it was so fun to watch the costume parade.  After the general meeting, the junior leaders ran carnival-style games for the younger members to play and get candy as prizes.  Many thanks to everyone who brought chili and toppings to the meeting.  The chili was so delicious, and everyone enjoyed it!  Thanks also to everyone for bringing in candy and other donations for Safe Haven.  Jenny W. and Mary W. delivered the donations to Safe Haven later that week.

Mini Officer Program

Tucker has a program called "Mini Officers." Younger members who are too young to be an officer can shadow one of the older officers and help them in their role during the meeting by giving an announcement, helping at the attendance table, passing out supplies, or other related tasks. Please contact one of the general leaders if your child is interested in participating in this capacity.

 Tucker Woodworking Project

Tucker does not currently have a woodworking leader, so we have had some members do woodworking with Yorkville. George Henderson is the woodworking leader for Yorkville, and he allows people to do woodworking with them for no fee if you buy your own lumber and work the Yorkville Food Booth at Fair. You can also do it independently and if you have any questions, you may ask any of the Bond family who have done woodworking with Yorkville and independently.

December Meeting

The December Tucker 4-H meeting is going to be one you do not want to miss! Aside from having cookies and cocoa for refreshments, we will be making ornaments for a nursing home. We are also collecting new (or like new) toys for the Toys 4 Tots program. There will be someone from their organization who will talk briefly about what they do. But the most fun part of the night will be the dice game! Everyone who wants to play should bring three wrapped items ($1 each).

Just to sum up what to bring:

1. A new or like new toy for Toys 4 Tots to donate

2. Three $1 gifts wrapped in Christmas paper

We can’t wait to see you there!

Christmas Caroling

Tucker is having our Christmas Caroling again! We will be making some changes from previous years. In the past we have gone to a nursing home. This year we would like go to a few houses and sing carols door to door so if you have anyone who you think would like us to visit, please let the Bond family know. After we go caroling, we will go decorate cookies for the December meeting at a local church. This event will be on 12/10 and it will be a lot of fun!
