Lived experience opportunity — mental health The Western Australian Association for Mental Health (WAAMH) has launched a new campaign called Prevent Support Heal. WAAMH are hosting a number of online workshops on how to tell your story of mental health, and reframe your lived experience into advocacy. All sessions include support before and after with counsellors. This includes an online session with former Senator for WA, Scott Ludlam, on how to meet with your MP. This is a really unique opportunity to hear from an incredible advocate and level up your advocacy! This is an unpaid, volunteer opportunity, but is a great chance to build your skills. If you participate in the campaign, you may have opportunities to meet with MPs yourself alongside WAAMH, share your story, and contribute to changing our mental health system. |
