Much like Indiana Jones, one must be prepared for an adventure. I have packed the necessary wardrobe and made sure I have my dramamine :)
By this time next week I will have checked off three screenings of Return To Hardwick. I'm first off to England - specifically Norwich, England and meeting up with the Heritage League. They have just kicked off their exciting and rather jam-packed 2019 reunion to England. It's very exciting that veterans will be in attendance!
WWII Veterans Allan Hallett (389thBG Hethel) and Don O’Reilly (491 & 44th BGs) check the map of B-24 airfields at the 2nd Air Division Memorial Library in Norwich. June 10, 2019
They have been kind enough to let me crash their Wednesday (June 12th) evening and screen Return to Hardwick at The Forum where the Second Air Division Memorial Library is located. Then, with hardly enough time to have a pint or two, I zip back to the states and arrive in Georgia.
Return To Hardwick has been selected to screen at the Northeast Mountain Film Festival in Dillard. They were also nice enough to include us in their tv commercial (above). We are very honored to get the chance to screen in one of the coolest festivals around - who doesn't want to witness the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains! And finally I'll end up in Savannah, GA where we will screen the film at the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force.
As a special treat we will have Hollywood actor Michael Cudlitz in attendance. Michael not only provided his on camera talents to the introduction of the film but also narrates it. The organizers at the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force have been very accommodating and the screening should be a blast.
