Hola y bienvenidos, amigos. Hello and welcome, friends, to another issue of Backstage with MFT, keeping you up to date on concerts, press, publications, music, merch, and more! It has been a busy year for the trio, and we'll spend this issue reflecting on some of what we accomplishmented, and what's ahead for 2024. |

The end of the year is celebrated in many ways around the world, and we often find it a time for family, reflection, and fattening, and it makes for a good excuse to combine the December and January newsletters into one edition. As Janus, the two-faced god of the Romans (from whence the name January is derived), looks to the past and the future, I offer you a look back at our year as well as a look ahead. 2023 was full of amazing highlights including the first overseas trip for the band. We wandered across the Yucatán, toured the ruins of Chichén Itzá and Tulúm, swam in cenotes, and drank wonderful mezcals. Silviu attended the Latin Grammys in Sevilla, España, Ramin spent finished up some big projects with his company (Full Circle Language Learning), and David finally fulfilled his lifelong dream of moving to the mountains of North Carolina (where he currently has frozen toes). Travel is on the agenda in 2024, as the crew plans a tour of Germany, Romania, and Turkey. |

In 2024 we are already gearing up for our first tour in March. Check our social media in the coming weeks for updates on where we will be playing. Silviu has been inspired and we are plotting several albums for this year with some stellar collaborations. We are moving towards our first recordings sessions with a passion! The maestro is also hard at work putting together the 2024 UF Guitar Extravaganza Festival and Competition happening February 10-11. If you are in Florida, be sure to go hear performances by international artists and competitors, and show your support for classical and flamenco guitar in the US. Thank you all so very much for your support this past year, and we hope to keep you entertained and enlightened in 2024! |
