We're BACK, Baby!

It's not that we ever left or anything, but we have some great news!

First intention was to write about the inflation in food prices, but guess what? That has to wait for another 30 days, please forgive me - because this right here, is much more significant to share. We have our own table, again!

 

What has started as Empty Plates Bangkok in late 2018 with our legendary home chef's table, one of the first private supper clubs Bangkok had seen at the time, over-viewing the Bangkok skyline from our northern city hub, gifted us with countless nights to remember when good friends and new ones came through that door over the 3 and 1/2 year span that we're running the table.

 

An intense time came to an end when the decision was made to close the table with the pandemic swiping through the country and making the switch completely to catering, private dining, event organizing and culinary consulting work, which has been great, but at the same time I've missed running my own place with that Empty Plates feel and touch! So here we go.

 

Staying true to ourselves, our new place is situated in the Bangrak district of Bangkok, this private table is a gorgeous spot for an intimate, cosy - culinary experience over-viewing the mighty Chaopaya RIver! We keep it small with this one as we can only host groups of minimum 4 , maximum 6 people per night and the table has to be booked in advance by one party only.

 

Another option for couples is our romantic  'Candle Light Dinner for Two' experience for special occasions such as anniversaries, birthdays, wedding proposals etc., where you have the table all to yourself with a private chef, a luxurious tasting menu and a one million dollar view of Bangkok by night.

 

Open for around 12 nights per month, our table won't be available every day, we will post and share the dates for each month via our social media channels and our newsletter. Our clients can also inquire and reserve their own dates if they don't align with ours. As always, we remain flexible and customer oriented to make sure we have a chance to cook for you.

We recommend a timely arrival and to set your table reservation for around 6.30PM - therefor you'll be able to witness an incredible sunset in the winter months or let the world and river boats simply go by while you get to embark on delicious food and drinks with us at our new private table in Sathorn. To start things off we are launching our luxurious 'Ganjalicious' tasting menu, with 8 available dates in September, first one being on Sunday, 10.09.2023!

Our location is a great place to offer a 'Bud pairing' where guests get to try all cannabis strains that we are implementing in your tasting menu. As always we offer our tasting menu with an THC or CBD infusion throughout the menu, the dosage will be individually decided on after a small consultation chat with our chef, based on experience level, body type, gender and other factors, it is easier to identify each guest's sweet spot for the dosage. We also utilize a variety of cannabis and hemp ingredients with non-psycho effect and simply highlight how this mystical plant can be used in the kitchen.

What's on the menu?

 

'Croque mon Dieu' 

Starting with a play on a French classic, our version ‘Croque Mon Dieu’ has a little swiss spin to it, elevates with an infused truffle butter and thinly sliced beef cheek pastrami.

 

Tartar , Caviar & Rösti

Second dish on the menu is an elegant version of potato Rösti with beef tartar, smoked and infused sour cream, condiments & Siberian caviar.

 

Tuna Tataki 2.0

Third course is our Tuna Tataki with a magical ponzu sauce, dressed avocado, pickled ginger, white bean miso puree and ikura caviar.

 

'The silence of the Thai red Lamb'

Third dish is ‘the silence of the Thai Red Lamb’ one of our signature dishes that has evolved over the years.

 

Japanese Kobe Wagyu

For main course there will be a Japanese Kobe Wagyu A5, one of the highest grade of Wagyu money can buy. The Wagyu will be a sharing course, served together with other infused green delights.

 

Dessert is a surprise and will vary from night to night

 

Price per person: 4’500 THB

Including beverages, infusion, smoke pairing
