Salem Animal Rescue League has worked tirelessly over the past 30 years to provide care, compassion, and permanent homes for animals and educational outreach and services to the greater Salem community.

As we look to the next 30 years, we're focused on rebuilding our canine program, including replacing our old kennels with modern facilities. Along with the continued success of our feline program, we aim to increase the number of animals served each year.

While we continue to receive transports from other parts of the country, we remain committed to our local community where people have lost their health, home, or employment due to COVID and need to surrender their animals.

MEET OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS!

NENA is a six-year-old, very affectionate hound mix. She loves to go for walks and chill on the couch. She needs to be an only pet.

ZOEY will be your best friend once she warms up and is comfortable with you. She is the perfect size dog, not too big and not too small, and her leash manners are great. She also needs to be an only pet.

ZEUS (aka Petey) is seven-years-young and he's just the sweetest guy who has so much love to give.

APRIL IS NATIONAL VOLUNTEER MONTH

AFTER FIVE MONTHS IN FOSTER CARE, JAFFEY AND NAVEL GO HOME

Twin brothers Jaffey and Navel spent five months being cared for while their foster mom and dad worked with us to diagnose their medical issues.

They ultimately were adopted by a couple that had lovingly cared for their kitty's medical issues for a few years before he passed. They spoke at length with our feline staff about the boys' medical needs, and then met the brothers in their foster home and spent quite a bit of time playing with them. We're delighted to report that the boys, now named Ollie and Milo, are thriving in their new home!

We are eternally grateful to our feline foster families who literally help us save lives. We currently are seeking fosters for dogs. Are you a New Hampshire resident that can you open your heart and home to a dog that is not well-suited to being in a shelter environment? If so, please consider becoming a dog foster.
