Virtual Workshop Series: Poetry for Beginners |
For thousands of years, poetry has been a lyrical bridge that connects one human experience to another. April is National Poetry Month, and Workforce Opportunity Services, a leading non-profit organization that connects individuals in underserved populations with transformative career opportunities, is hosting a free, four-part series — "Poetry for Beginners." In this series, Urban Word Mentor and Poetry Slam champion Tony McPherson will guide us through writing exercises, freewriting prompts, and deep dives into the work of some of the world’s most exciting contemporary poets. |
Each session is designed for those of all ages and aims to stimulate their creativity and expand their horizon in the arts. Registration is required to receive the Zoom link. Please enter YORK COUNTY LIBRARY or YCL where it asks where you heard about the program. For more information about this series and other WFO workshops, visit wforce.org. |
