SCOPE 3 CALL-OUT

Given the increased demand for a greater understanding around scope 3 measurement, CAFA is excited to be chairing the first workshop of a series with its member associations. Through the series we will look at different emission sources from a scope 3 lens such as publications, events, WFH practices, and more.

Our first workshop will be targeted specifically at members who are beginning to look at and include their publishing activities (academic and non-academic; hard copy and digital) in their calculations. We invite perspectives from members who are at different stages of their journey in order to collaboratively learn and brainstorm the different publishing factors to include into Scope 3 measurement.

While the date is to be decided, it will likely be held last week of May and is estimated to run for approximately 1.5-2hours. To register your interest and availability or to find out further information please send us an email.

FRIENDS OF OUR EARTH

Bees help build homes for millions of other insects and animals. Their role as pollinators is vital in the growth of tropical forests, woodlands, & rainforests. Many tree species, plants and flowers couldn’t grow without pollinators like bees.

Nesting sea turtles help beaches by depositing their eggs in the sand. Eggshells & unhatched eggs left behind provide important nutrients that nourish dune vegetation such as beach grasses, which stabilize dunes & help to prevent coastal erosion.
