President's Message LYNNE WARNE |
It’s that time of year when love takes center stage. Valentine’s Day originated as a Christian feast day honoring Saint Valentine, a Catholic priest who lived in Rome in the third century. There are many stories about St Valentine, and over time these stories grew into the legend we know today. The Bible is silent about Valentine’s Day, but not about sharing God’s love. In fact, Scripture teaches God is love (1 John 4:8). READ MORE |

Outreach: Nashville Diaper Connection |
Did you know that diaper need creates a cycle of poverty for families? The average cost of diapers for one baby is $93 per month. One in three families in Nashville struggle to afford diapers. This month, NCBWL is supporting The Nashville Diaper Connection to help with this need. Its mission is to ensure that every baby in the state has enough diapers to remain clean, dry and healthy. Please bring any size diapers to our Feb. 16 meeting. We will also be collecting cash or checks. You can also donate directly to The Nashville Diaper Connection. Find out more from Lauren Barca email: lauren_barca@uhc.com or visit www.nashvillediaperconnection.org to learn how you can help. |

January On-Site Visit at Father Ryan High School Luncheon, Program and Campus Tour |
What a great start of the year and an amazing finish as we conclude our Campus On-Site Visit Series! On January 19, Father Ryan High School hosted our league members to a wonderful luncheon and program. Many thanks to the ladies at FRHS led by Brooke Reusch, Director of Advancement. Brooke lined up a spectacular meeting for us, beginning with a fun performance by the school’s top choir group. We also heard from our scholarship recipient Tatiany Morales, who shared with us her plans to attend MTSU in the fall. After a delicious catered lunch, a group of us took a tour of the school. Such an impressive campus! Please visit the website for more great pictures. |
