BUILDING A SYSTEM THAT WORKS
This realization has led me to focus on building a system that works—a system where I can be the best father, partner, and athlete. It’s not about sacrificing one thing for another, but about finding a balance that allows you to excel in all areas of your life.
For me, this means reorganizing my days to include the things that are non-negotiable—like my workouts. It’s about getting creative with my schedule, sometimes waking up earlier, or carving out time in the middle of the day, but always making sure that I’m prioritizing my health and fitness.
But this isn’t just about me. I want you to think about your own life.
What are the things that matter most to you? What are the things that, if you don’t make time for them, will leave you feeling unfulfilled?
THE IMPORTANCE OF A NON-NEGOTIABLE ROUTINE
It’s easy to let things slip, especially when life gets hectic. But the truth is, we all have the same 24 hours in a day. The difference between those who achieve their goals and those who don’t is how they use that time. If something is important to you, make it non-negotiable.
For me, that means walking and running. These are my escapes, my way to clear my mind and visualize the future I want. Walking or running alone, where I can truly face my deepest thoughts, is something I prioritize because it’s essential for my mental and physical well-being.
CREATING YOUR OWN SYSTEM
Maybe for you, it’s something different—maybe it’s spending time with your family, working on a passion project, or committing to a fitness goal. Whatever it is, I challenge you to take a step back and look at your daily routine.
Are you making time for what truly matters? If not, what can you do to change that?
This isn’t about adding more to your plate—it’s about being intentional with your time. It’s about recognizing that your health, happiness, and success are worth prioritizing.
REFLECT, ADJUST, AND COMMIT
As we head into this new week, I encourage you to reflect on what’s truly important to you.
Ask yourself:
What are the things that, if I don’t make time for them, will leave me feeling unsatisfied?
Then, adjust your schedule to make those things a priority.
It won’t always be easy, and there will be times when life gets in the way. But if you’re committed to making time for what matters, you’ll find a way to make it work.
Remember, it’s not about being perfect—it’s about being consistent. The small, intentional actions you take every day will lead to the results you want, whether that’s in your fitness, your career, or your personal life.
