HQ Tour security guidance/expectations !!!
a. All JFCBS Staff who sign up through pre-registration to take family members on a tour of the HQ during Family Day must ensure the following security guidance is made aware to all family tour guests:
“Electronic items and bags of any kind are not permitted within the Class I & II areas. These Class I & II areas begin/end upon crossing the turnstile threshold. There are designated lockers outside of the Class I & II areas to store bags/electronic items that require a 1€ coin to operate, but due to the number of expected visitors, we highly recommend that you leave your devices in your vehicles. Headquarters Security Staff will turn away visitors who are unable to store their bags/electronic devices prior to entering the classified areas.
Examples of electronic devices not permitted into the Class I & II areas include: smartphones, smart watches, Bluetooth headsets, USBs, portable gaming consoles, laptops, tablets, and expand to include any electronic device that can receive or transmit data (most commonly found to be any device that connects with a smartphone or to the internet). Additionally, pre-coordination is required for approval of Bluetooth medical devices if applicable (examples include Bluetooth hearing aids, medical watches, etc.). Headquarters Security Staff will be present at the entrance/exit points of the Class I & II areas to ensure compliance via random searches, which could include the use of hand held metal detectors.”
