In continuing to broadcast a series of recitals online, Canada’s Canzona Chamber Players announces their Fall 2020 season — including performances from George Koller, Jonathan Crow & Joseph Johnson, Sean Rice & Anna Petersen, Carina Canonica, David Gazille & Jonathan Krehm, Casba Koscó & Theresa Rudolph, and Rachel Mercer & Yehonatan Berick.

In addition, the Canzona Chamber Players’ concert series will feature the world premieres of two new works from Canadian composer Kevin Lau; Intuitions No. 1 and No. 2 will debut on November 1st and November 29th, respectively.

Now in its 18th season, these recitals will run Sundays at 7:00pm EST and be saved to Canzona's YouTube channel. All broadcasts are accomplished following all necessary health and safety protocols, and all artists are paid for their performances.

Since the onset of COVID-19, Canzona Chamber Players have been broadcasting recitals, recorded to the highest standard by Evan Mitchell and John Gray. As part of this live-streamed recital series, Winona Zelenka (TSO), Marie Bérard (COC), Jessica Tong, Emily Rho (Pocket Concerts), 2020 JUNO Award recipient Angela Schwarzkopf, Roslyn and Eric Abramovitz (TSO), and Yosuke Kawasaki and Jessica Linnebach have performed, to date raising over $31,000 for the St. Michael’s Hospital COVID-19 Courage Fund.

In lieu of a concert ticket,  Canzona Chamber Players asks for a donation to the St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation’s COVID-19 Courage Fund, which will provide frontline staff, palliative care patients and the most vulnerable members of the community with the food, clothing, and tablet computers they need to keep going, keep connected and keep safe during the pandemic.

Donations to the St. Michael’s Hospital COVID-19 Courage Fund, in Memory of Elizabeth Krehm, can be made here: http://smh.convio.net/couragefund
