Movers & Shakers the weekly edit |

|
A weekly edit, full of all singing and dancing makers, artists, interiors, food, fashion, gardening, music and more. Hello! I hope you are all well and have had a good week. The tables seem to be turning, slowly, but they are turning. Gates to gardens have re-opened and on Monday many shops will also re-open. On a smaller scale, this coming Thursday 18th June celebrates International Picnic Day - a blessing now we can enjoy our wide open spaces again. (The word “picnic” comes from the French language, and it’s believed this type of informal outdoor meal became a popular pastime in France after the Revolution. As fans of Jane Austen’s novels will know, 19th-century picnics were elaborate social occasions, with menus featuring a wide range of cold meats and pies that took days to prepare). So there you have it folks! I hope you enjoy this week's edit. xx Georgie xx |
