Thank you to all our clients and partners who attended our just concluded H.G. Acres Symposium, where we celebrated 100 years in hydropower. In commemorating this milestone, we hosted an industry event at the historic Niagara Parks Power Station. This event featured discussions led by some of our experts, Jim Sarvinis, Global Managing Director for Energy; Jakub Gara, Regional Manager, eGRID; Kat Peterson, Hydropower specialist, Dams & Levees; Nikou Jalayeri, Alberta Regional Manager, Hydropower & Dams; and Sue Prince, Indigenous Relations Specialist. They engaged in insightful conversations about our past, present and future contributions to the hydropower industry. Looking ahead, we embrace what sets us apart – our unwavering commitment to sustainability. We continue to prioritize investing in solutions that not only meet the world’s energy needs, but do so responsibly, without compromising our planet. With shifting geopolitics and the rapid evolution of AI on the horizon, what hazards lie ahead of us in the future? This year’s theme, “Revolutionizing safety: A journey of innovation,” featured exciting presentations from our clients, partners, and a keynote from renowned futurist Nikolas Badminton. We wrapped up with a workshop, led by Nikolas, on the importance of scanning for signals, looking for trends, and sharing ideas to dynamically change the way we implement positive change in workplace safety. The annual Working Together Safely forum held in Toronto each year brings industry leaders, clients, partners, contractors, and colleagues together to share how we all have a responsibility to shape a safer and more resilient future.
