Monson The world was still sleeping as we made our way to the trailhead, the soft touch of dawn's fingertips gracefully touching the mountain peaks above us with a soft yellow glow. Weeks prior, I reached out to my siblings to see who was in for a sunrise hike the same weekend as my nephew's wedding in Utah. The answer: "Yes, we're in." So there we were, making our way through endless greenery on trails that hugged the mountainside and vistas that looked over the Salt Lake Valley below. The best part—our conversations as we caught each other up on life, our children, travels, and more. Those moments within the journey of our hike were where we found joy. As we ran down the trail, I couldn't help but ponder this concept. Life's journey is full of steep inclines and winding paths. Sometimes, we get a view that gives us a beautiful perspective of where we are, and other times, our view is limited to a small footpath surrounded by trees. But, we can always find happiness in every step by practicing gratitude, surrounding ourselves with supportive loved ones, and harnessing that internal strength to help us persevere through the hard times. This month, I'm excited to offer two back-to-back classes: Our "Create" intermediate class is a fan favorite we are bringing back to the studio. This colorful set includes learning to paint woodgrain, stenciling with multiple icings, layered piping, and lettering. Our beginners' class is going to be Shark-tastic! This class includes flooding, piping, and the use of a paint palette knives to create depth and design for your cookies.

Thank you to everyone who came to my subscriber only classes last month. Saturday's class was especially exciting as we decorated cookies while filming for an upcoming online course. With the bright lights and the camera rolling, we even had Hollywood beat. A special thank you to Mark from Ash + Pine Media for spending 9 hours shooting plus countless hours editing to bring my vision to life. I've already seen a sneak preview and I'm beyond excited to share this course soon.
