September feels like an ending and the beginning all at once. It was an amazing first summer of pop-ups and events for Belonging Books. While Belonging Books will continue to pop-up around the Cape this fall, we will focus on creating gathering space for joy, celebration, safety and belonging that center people of color. I am continuing my work to offer community programs -- including drop-in writing circles, book socials, story times, collaborations with local authors and non-profits, workshops and more creative gathering opportunities. Belonging Books also has some very exciting news to share in the near future so please stay tuned! This week, my youngest stepped on to the school bus heading to kindergarten and my first cooly entered third grade. An ending and a beginning... |
