A Brief Update, If I May? |
May was a great month for Woodbine and we came in clutch for a couple of customers with last minute shipments as well! We turned an urgent request from North Bay to Saskatoon into a smooth delivery, without a hitch…(no pun intended). We saw a tremendous amount of quote requests in April, and they seemed to manifest into shipments in May as we realized a 68% increase in shipment volumes over the previous month (April Showers bring May flowers!). Although our orders are increasing across the board, we are noticing a dramatic uptick in more complex shipments that require special equipment, more cross-docking and a little more brain power! Maybe it’s the increase in our Omega-3 intake, but we are flourishing with these requests and we welcome the tough stuff! Whether it’s LTL to and from major points, or moving a DeLorean from Toronto back to 1985, we are here to serve you! And as always, your business is so incredibly appreciated and if there is anything we can do to serve you better, we welcome that feedback – so thank you. |

The World's 10 Highest-Paid Athletes |
For much of 2020, the world’s leading athletes were sidelined, working for reduced pay, playing to empty seats or isolated in competitive bubbles designed to thwart a pandemic that has sapped billions of dollars from professional sports. Still, for the best of the best, things couldn’t be better—at least in terms of their financial heft.

Houston’s Darth Vader House Becomes an International Sensation |
Ominous. What adjective could better describe the entire weirdness of the so-called Darth Vader house that has altered the visual tranquility of West University Place for close to 30 years? It is just that galactic visual reference that has captured the imagination of media from London to the Philippines and points in between.
