Happy Pride Month! 4.5 % of the U.S population identifies as lesbian gay, or bisexual. An estimated 39% of this population has reported experiencing a mental illness in the past year. That is nearly 5.8 million people!

A: Gender identity refers to one's innermost concept of self as male, female, a blend of both, or neither. It is how a person perceives themself.

A: A term for people whose gender identity differs from the cultural expectations based on the sex they were assigned at birth. It does not imply a specific sexual orientation.

A: Allies can show support for BIPOC LGBTQ+ friends, neighbors, coworkers, family members by amplifying their voices.
