This group of young African leaders attended an intensive leadership institute at Clark Atlanta University, which is one of the 28 educational institutions across the United States hosting this year's 700 fellows. After celebrating the fellows' welcome at Clark Atlanta, our office facilitated a Meet & Greet between Mayor Dickens and the Mandela Washington Fellowship CAU cohort to discuss leadership, the Mayor’s personal and professional experiences, his vision and mission for the City of Atlanta, and exploring opportunities between Atlanta and the fellows' home countries. |

Our office teamed up with Free Bikes 4 Kids Atlanta (FB4K) to give away bikes and protective gear to local Atlanta youth. FB4K Atlanta is a nonprofit that brings communities together to support the health and well-being of the youth. Together, we provided over 50 bikes and helmets to children of all ages. |

Welcoming Atlanta Hosts Citizenship Clinic |

Our team hosted a Citizenship Clinic in partnership with Asian Americans Advancing Justice- Atlanta, Atlanta Legal Aid Society, and Mi Familia Vota. 19 participants attended, 3 citizenship applications were completed, and participants saved over $2,000 in application fees. |

MyCity ATL Program Wraps Up |

In June, we welcomed the final session of MyCity ATL at Atlanta City Hall! Participants took a tour of City Hall and heard from a former MyCity ATL participant, who spoke about overcoming challenges that new migrants face and building confidence while learning English. |
