Bright Spots is the WREN's latest publication focused on local educators working with WREN improvement coaching staff to implement change in area schools and districts. By sharing our stories, we hope to bring to life the improvement science process that guides this work. In our inaugural edition, we profile the efforts of Juliauna Greene and Talor Kirk, teachers at Fairfield Elementary in Bethel SD in Eugene, who have been testing ways to implement Critical Literacy Pedagogy in their classrooms, and now their district.

Educator Advancement Council News |
Coming February 2023 The Oregon Statewide Educator Survey The Educator Advancement Council is pleased to re-introduce the Oregon Statewide Educator Survey (OSES), formerly known as the TELL Oregon Survey. This online, anonymous school survey is for all school-based, licensed educators and instructional staff, including administrators. The survey offers educators an opportunity to provide input on teaching conditions that can be used to inform state, district, and school improvements. Participation helps determine whether educators have the resources and supports necessary to provide the most effective teaching and learning environment for students.

Seeking Coordinating Body Members |
The WREN is led by a diverse team called a Coordinating Body that is composed of at least 51% K-12 teachers. We strive to have a Coordinating Body that is racially, ethnically, culturally, and/or linguistically diverse, and reflective of our region's educators and students. Our team benefits greatly from including novice educators in their first three years of teaching. |
