It's Friday, I'm in love.

Hey there!

First things first, thank you for signing up and allowing our way into your amazing email account, we promise you will not regret it. I would dare to say never, but JB (Justin Bieber) taught me; "Never say never". Let's see how it goes!

Welcome to our first newsletter!

This is a place where we will share weekly subjects that caught our attention, (un)comfortable conversations, beautiful images, life issues, anything and everything. This year hasn’t been the best for some and amazing for others, but we learned that no matter what happens, we are in this together, we disconnected to connect again. This is a time when the world came together to fight what is beating us. And in this first issue, we want to remind you 7 positive effects caused by the pandemic:

  • #WFH is possible: You always wanted to do home office without being judged, but you were never really convinced you could do it every day to fight for this opportunity in your job. At the moment, your dreams came true and now you are tired of this life, who knew?!

  • Multiple Personalities: One day you can wake up at 5 am to convince yourself you are now a morning person, read a book, meditate, drink your water with lemon, getting your body and mind balanced to start your day happily at 9. Although, the next day you wake up 10 minutes before your first meeting, brush your teeth, and run to change at least your PJs top for a well-presented shirt looking like a person who has their shit together.

  • 72h in 24h: Between daily work activities and zoom calls, you are also a home chef, the best house cleaner, laundry pro, nail artist, athlete, and YouTube biggest fan. Your day is just too long nowadays, please can we go back being less productive?

  • The Next Marie Kondo: Your house is still a mess, dishes stacked in the sink and it's been two days since your last shower (sorry, was it a secret?) On the other hand, your workspace has Marie Kondo approved seal! Who knew you would become this neurotic person?

  • Personal Trainer or Yogi?: In March and April, you decided to eat all your anxiety without caring too much about health (it's okay, we did it too), but now that you realize corona is not leaving anytime soon (unfortunately), you became the queen of online workout or meditation expert and started to think you are becoming the next Gwyneth Paltrow. “If I can, everyone else is capable too. HEY HO, LET’S GO!”

  • Chef or Delivery Queen?: Either you got addicted to all YouTube food channels (Bon Appétit, Marion’s Kitchen, NYT Cooking) and became a Michelin-starred chef. Or you are now the most well-known person by all the delivery people and your favorite restaurants, who are now even sending out free treats.

  • Missing People: You always thought you were a bit shy or only had time and space to love your friends. However, now, all you want is to hug everyone that smiles at you outside your house.

Why Straight is The Default?

Do we still need to talk about "coming out"? Yes! Do we need to acknowledge that the world has changed but it is far beyond ideal? Yes! In this story, we debate why straight narrative movies are still the default and what Love, Simon represents to the industry. It is not just a teen movie, it's a statement.
