Ooh that rhymes~

I got that art test working just shy of starting the month of September~

So now y'all got an activity to try, yaaaaaay~

I have the Mini-lesson right here, right now if you want step-by-step details.

Basically, I recently learned about using a water-soluble fabric marker to sketch on watercolor paper, then once you ink the drawing (let the ink dry!) you paint right on top and the marker will disappear!

WELL IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY.

long story short, run a wash of clear water on your inks (waterproof inks work best, of course, but well-dried acrylic inks should work too) then as soon as the blue fabric marker ink disappears, dab the area with a tissue to absorb the "contaminated" water.

It'll actually remove the blue ink and not break down the lineart from water sitting on it too long.

So what did I use?

Hadda dig in my order archive but here's the exact water-soluble pen I used, Works well, good ink flow, juiciness is peak; Just hope you're not in a hurry cuz it's Ali Express after all.

The irony is not lost on me.

Deleter wasn't kidding when they said this specific ink in their range is the most waterproof. Once dry, I ran washes after washes of clear water on it, and while yes, it did stain the paper gray a TAD for the first test, the lineart itself did not budge one bit (on watercolor paper, mind you).

Sadly, it does not smell like mud like Deleter Ink 1.

I don't know the brand of the brush I used for the washes; there is no brand name or any detailing to tell me what it was. However, I do have a Robert Simmons angle shader that I love and use quite often when doing watercolor or ink works, so let's go for this set I have my eye on instead!

The rating is based off the brush I own, not the set! I don't have the set yet. an issue I plan to fix, of course~
