With Spring arriving just days away on Sunday, March 20, I can’t help but being reminded of a favorite song of mine by Bette Midler, The Rose. Here I’ve included a link to the song. Personally, I’ve found this song to be a metaphor for life’s ups and downs and for my journey through a breast cancer diagnosis. That no matter how tough things get in life there is always HOPE, there is always LOVE and always GROWTH on the other side. Wishing you a beautiful and blessed springtime! |   | |

Reduce anxiety with a free yoga nidra video When I started to have anxiety about my impending surgery, I found, on the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center website a forty-minute free yoga nidra video that helped to greatly relieve her anxiety. Yoga nidra is a guided meditation to induce full-body relaxation and deep rest. It helps quiet the overactive mind and brings it into a conscious, meditative state. Yoga nidra has been found to reduce symptoms of anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, chronic pain, and insomnia. |   | |
