Congratulations to Frozen Head State Park & Natural Area!! Thanks to all who donated and voted for our favorite state park, which came in 2nd place in votes cast for the state park that "kept them going" in 2020! Masks required at all national parks

To protect the health of those who live, work and visit our national parks and facilities, and in support of the President’s Executive Order on Protecting the Federal Workforce and Requiring Mask-Wearing, face masks are now required in all NPS buildings and facilities. Masks are also required on NPS-managed lands when physical distancing cannot be maintained, including narrow or busy trails, overlooks.

Rugby is magical this time of the year, especially when there is enough snow to create your vision, as Jackie Broeker did last week. David Howard, musician, MCTA member and super hiker is playing Saturday night at the Starry Night Tavern and Creekside Grill. He will be singing 70's music starting at 5:00 EST. Friday night he will be appearing at MoCo Brewing Project in Wartburg, TN at 6:00 PM EST.

Hot Rod Walt" aka Walt Richards will be in Wartburg Saturday night, Feb. 13th. Not only does he play guitar and sing in the Psycho-DeVilles, but works on custom cars and motorcycles, does hand pinstriping and really just about anything you can imagine on a car or bike. He even has hand pinstriped 342 official special edition "Hot Rod Walt" Gretsch Guitars.

BIG FOOT INVESTIGATION HIKE!  

Frozen Head State Park - Wartburg, TN

February 27, 2021- 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM

 

Join Ranger Kayley on a night hike as we search for signs of the ever illusive Bigfoot! Several sightings have been reported in the park on multiple occasions. We will meet at the Panther Branch Trail Head to go over a few facts and safety rules.

Erin Howard selected one of 20 under 40 Award

 

Erin's smiling face can be seen most every weekend, rain, snow or sunshine, on the many trails in and around Morgan County, along with her family, friends and members of Hike MoCo.  Erin and a handful of Hike MoCo members have signed up for hiking the Sheltowee Trace, over 350 miles in one year.  We will catch up later in the year with this group.
