Dear Friends, Since October 7th, WTB has worked tirelessly to fight gender-based violence wherever it exists, to break the deafening silence of women’s organizations across the world and to empower women and girls to have knowledge and autonomy over their bodies and wellbeing. We have taken part in various coalitions and urgent appeals calling for the release of all hostages in Gaza; for the protection of women's rights during the war; and the proper representation of women in decision-making processes. The damage to the sense of security in Israel, continues when on April 14, Iran launched more than 300 drones and projectiles on Israel and when 133 women, men and children are still being held hostage in Gaza. We pray for a Passover without fear, with peace and calm and good Health for all of us in Israel and all around the world. We invite you to keep up to date with our activities these days. |

Among WTB’s Current Projects: Research on the effects of the war on women We have begun conducting a research study examining the effects of the current war on women and adolescents in Israel - The study is being carried out by a leading research organization, using the input of 1000-1500 individuals, a sample population of young women ages 16-26, in both Hebrew and Arabic. Findings will be analyzed, summarized and published both in Israel and internationally, to have the greatest impact and provide a basis for leading organizations such as Israel’s Ministry of health, health organizations, women’s organizations, health educators and more. |
