Welcome Olivia

Meet our new teabar at VAPA Center hospitality hostess, Olivia Headley.  Her friends and family call her Livvy. She's excited to be working at our new lounge, located in the Uptown Arts District.  She's lived in Charlotte over a year but grew up in Oregon and moved to Fort Mill in the summer of 2020. Olivia has been working at a smoothie and juice bar and has enjoyed the adventure of discovering something new almost everyday. Prior to moving to the south, Olivia served as an apprentice at an herbs and tea shop in Newberg, called Herbs in Jars. "Going inside made me feel a lot of positive energy and inspired me to learn more about plant and herbal medicine. I am eager to continue my work in helping people enjoy and benefit from herbs and teas through The Pauline Tea-Bar Apothecary," says Olivia.

About our First Friday Live Music Artist

Raised by a musical family, most of Lovell Bradford's tonal experience came out of the gospel church environment. He started playing music at 9 years old, playing the organ and piano during church service in Charlotte. Most of Bradford's early experiences made him train his ear and strengthen his ability to understand music without seeing it on paper. At 13 years old, Lovell started playing upright bass and grew quickly because of his newfound ear.  By 16, he started playing gigs with his father, Lovell Bradford Sr. a professional jazz pianist, as well as learning to read music. With around 6 years of experience, Lovell has become one of the first-call bassists in the Charlotte and Triangle area.  He has recorded and performed with many decorated musicians. Bradford has played styles such as Gospel, Jazz, Tango, Latin, Funk, R&B, Fusion, and Hip-Hop, to name a few. Lovell attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro on a music scholarship as a member of the Miles Davis Jazz Studies Program and studied jazz bass with Professor Steve Haines.
