May's Activities

- our work at a glance -

SAMIRA AT "BUILDING BRIDGES"

WoW's founder and Executive Director Samira recently attended the "Building Bridges" event, a series initiated by Kristin Andrus in 2022. These events have consistently been a source of inspiration and this particular session was no exception. The theme was "Critical Influence," featuring a powerful presentation by Joseph Grenny, founder of The Other Side Academy. Samira found the event to be exceptionally insightful and motivating, underscoring the importance of community and impactful leadership. We are grateful for opportunities like these that foster connection and growth.

ALPINE COMMUNITY SERVICE PRESENTATION

On May 7th, our founder and Executive Director, Samira Harnish, delivered an inspiring presentation about Women of the World to the Alpine Community Service group. The community was deeply moved by her message and mission, which was evident from the enthusiastic response she received. They generously collected feminine hygiene products for our clients, demonstrating their support and commitment to our cause. We are grateful for the Alpine Community Service group's engagement and generosity.

HORIZONTE'S COMMUNITY FAIR

On May 17th, Case Managers Laura and Ruby represented Women of the World at the Horizonte Instruction and Training Center's Community Fair. They joined numerous businesses, organizations, and schools to offer students valuable resources and opportunities. Their participation helped connect students with essential support, furthering our mission to empower and uplift the community.
