ASER 2022: Back to School ASER 2022 is a landmark survey, as it is the first field-based survey to be conducted after a hiatus of four years. It has come at a crucial time when children are back to school after a prolonged period of closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It has surveyed a total of 19,060 villages and 6,99,597 children across rural India, within the age range of 3 to 16 years old. The conversations were held virtually and focused on various aspects of women's lives, including obstacles they face in their current jobs and their future aspirations. The women also shared ideas for uplifting and empowering their peers in the community. |
