June 2024

“May your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears." -Nelson Mandela

Happy June, sweet friends! Last month, I received a text from a very close friend. She was, as she stated, “clearly on a precipice” and asked, “Do you think it’s possible to find a person in life who you can feel whole, authentic and alive with?” Well, I, a divorced, single mother of two dunking cinnamon alphabet cookies into chocolate milk, proceeded to crack my knuckles and say, “You’ve come to the right place!” Haha! Okay, no, I didn’t say that. However, I responded with a resounding “Yes,” followed by a voice text about my faith in hope.

Regardless of the answers you seek, if you are riding high on the rolling waves of life or feel like you are spinning within the churn, one concept will infinitely be present: hope—to place trust in that no matter where you are, there is something greater to cling to and a desire to see that greatness come into fruition.

On the eve of what would’ve been my 18th wedding anniversary, I can definitely stand before you and tell you that life can change in ways that are so unexpected and have plot twists that will change the trajectory of our own life novels. Still, it is the hope that guides us and optimistically drives us to more, the hope of a future unwritten, the hope to trust in the timing of something not meant for the right now, the hope of an all-encompassing love to be found, the hope of grand adventures, and the hope of resilient dreams becoming limitless realities.

XO
