Join Potter and Montessori educator Claire Willis & Guest Naturalist Julia Lunn of The Backyard Biophilia Project for this 2 day workshop. This workshop is for ages 3-9. Children ages 3-4 will need to be accompanied by a caregiver.
Whole families are more than welcome!
Week One
We will meet at Heller Nature Center in Highland Park for a Naturalist guided hike of the preserve, observing the changing seasons and opening our eyes to designs in nature that we will be incorporating into pottery.
Week Two
Meeting at Claire Willis Pottery's studio each child will make a pottery trivet with natural materials found in their own backyard…leaves, grasses, flowers…What will you choose? Each child will be able to make 2 pieces of pottery.
