On behalf of the Organising Committee, we are pleased to provide more information on the 2019 Biennial Conference of the Southern African Association of Geomorphologists. This year we are also celebrating 30 years since our first conference! The 2019 the conference will be held in Chintsa East, with the preconference excursion based in the Maclear area (Tsitsa River Catchment) of the Eastern Cape, and a post conference workshop focusing on soil erosion. The participation of early career scholars and postgraduate research researchers is positively encouraged.

Presentations
Both oral and poster presentations in the field of geomorphology are invited. A PowerPoint projection facility will be available. Oral presentations will be 15 min + 5 for questions. To avoid parallel oral sessions, delegates may be requested to present posters, particularly where thematic sessions are well represented. Co-workers on projects with multiple papers are requested to arrange in advance with the organisers for thematic sessions comprising of joint poster/oral presentations.
Additional Information
Registration fees include teas, lunches, a snack dinner on the Sunday evening, dinners on Monday and Tuesday. Accommodation and breakfasts are for the delegates’ own arrangement. The conference venue Arendsnes has accommodation facilities and delegates should contact Arendnes directly for reservations.
In order to minimise costs, the book of abstracts will be available electronically and no SAAG-branded conference bag or stationary will be provided. WiFi is also not available.
A prize will be made to the delegate with the oldest item of SAAG memorabilia (e.g. T-shirt, conference bag) that can be shown at the conference.
A cash bar will available at the conference dinner/braai.
