| | Rocking out 1Ness Camp Flame Fest! Imagine this, a roaring fire on the grill, a romantic location, and a group of amazing new friends all coming together for one beautiful night. On July 29th, YAMM and more than 35 African-American married couples did just that at 1Ness Camp Flame Fest.
A night for couples to dance the night away and win cool prizes, and also where we introduced the couples to our partnerships with 1Ness Camp for the Marriage Retreat. On this day any couple that wanted to sign up for the retreat could.
Did you miss this year's event? No worries we are working on the 2024 event, which will take place on June 15th. There will be more details on the June 2024 cookout this upcoming October. | | |

| | Big success at 1Ness Camp Marriage Retreat. From August 4th to August 6th we enjoyed the 1Ness Camp Marriage Retreat with 20 African-American couples. We had an amazing time together. We had special guests Ronald Everglass and counselor Erik Poole, who worked with the couples and provided advice on building stronger intimate relationships along with other great advice. As well as establishing bonds and friends with other couples. All while having exquisite meals, being one with nature, and creating memories. If you did not get the chance to attend this year, you're in luck as we are preparing for next year's retreat. It will be July 19th to July 21, 2024. We would be so excited for you to join us. Youth Recruitment On the 17th we had an awesome time meeting and getting to know so many young people and their parents at our youth recruitment. At the event parents and their young people had the chance to hear about programs and to say the least, they were excited. This event was sponsored by 4imprint, Phisticated Lady Entertainment, AZ Masonry, and a heartfelt thank you to Bethabara Pointe Apartments for inviting us. Without all of your support, this event and so many other opportunities would not be possible. We have a number of programs that would be fitting for so many young people in our community. Heartthrob Affair Black love is a beautiful thing. It deserves to be celebrated and couples need to be reminded of how beautiful their love is. Wouldn't the best way to do that be over an elegant dinner that they did not have to slay over? A true date night. It was a great memory created for the couples and for us. | | A new program SignLinc. will begin in 2024. It is an initiative to teach hearing youths sign language, and then to use it teach communication and friendship with youths who are deaf. Creating a chance to build community, have a positive impact and opportunities for the future. |

| | The boys mentor program, The Ellis Effect, will be discontinued in 2024. While this key program has been a significant part of our journey, we're always evolving to better serve our mission and the needs of the youth we care about. |
