Dear Parents/Carers,
Welcome to the February addition of ‘Heart News’. I hope the half term has been a good break for students and their families and girls have returned to school ready to work hard in the lead up to Easter, which is only five weeks away!
Even though we have had a week out of school this month, it has still been a busy time for our girls. We were so proud to hear that our Year 10 Robotics team had made it all the way to the semi-final of the UK National VEX Robotics Competition, even fending off sixth form teams with much more experience from around the country.
March is almost upon us and for our Year 11 and Year 13 students, this means revision for public examinations should be well underway. As a school, we finish teaching the content for all exam courses in March so that the remaining time can be spent working with teachers on a programme of structured revision in lessons, supported further by their own revision at home. This is a tried and tested model which ensures we get the best outcomes for all every academic year.
I hope you enjoy catching up on the Personal Development events and sessions that have happened in February. Thank you for encouraging your daughter to participate in everything that is on offer and continuing to support us as a School.
Best wishes,
Mrs Howell
