This month Dr David and Practice Manager Chris headed off to a two-day conference where they brushed up on the knowledge of the ever-evolving world, which is veterinary medicine. These two thoroughly love learning, and it never ceases to amaze us at the vast knowledge these two driven individuals have that they can impart to the team.
As we all like gifts and Christmas is only a few weeks away, we have some exciting news for all of our wonderful clients. That's a gift, right?!
Over the past few months, we have had a few new faces at Goodna Vet. So this would be a wonderful opportunity to introduce them. We have three new faces and one who will be joining us a little later in the year.
First up, we have Vet Nurse Kim. Kim completed her training in veterinary nursing, certificate 4, with us. You may have seen her while following our other nurses, who helped her through her studies. In reality, she has been with us for over a year but has recently become an integral part of the team a few months ago.
Next up, we have Dr Man Ka (or you may hear us introduce her as Dr Kaka). Dr Kaka joined our team in mid-August. Dr Kaka did one of her 5th veterinary student rotations with us. Dr Kaka has been a GP Veterinarian for almost a year and has tremendous support from our lead veterinarian Dr David and one of our newest team members, who we will introduce next.
The next introduction is Dr Megan. Dr Megan joined our team this month and has many years of experience, graduating from the University of Queensland the year before Dr David. Dr Megan has a passion for small animal dentistry and completed her examinations to obtain her membership in small animal dentistry and oral surgery in 2021. Obtaining a membership certifies a high level of competence and experience in a specific field and takes a lot of dedication and determination because the study is self-guided.
Late but not least, we have Dr Lauren. Dr Lauren is a 5th-year vet student graduating from university in December this year. Dr Lauren did one of her student rotations early in the year with us and decided to come back later in the year to complete a larger block of clinical rotation. She is currently with us this month, completing this block which is the final part of her five-year degree. She is looking forward to meeting you all and your beautiful pets in the near future.
Until next month, take care!
