NEWS FROM MRS. TOBERGTE

Dear St. Patrick Families,

We have had such a lovely week as we continue to prepare our hearts for Our Lord's birth!  Thank you for joining us on Monday and Tuesday for our Christmas concerts lead by Mr. Pierle.  Our band beautifully performed their Christmas concert yesterday for the whole school, lead by Mr. Shoff and directed by Mr. Michalski . And, today our kindergarteners performed their Nativity play, directed by Mrs. Bonn and Mrs. Sinton.  The best part of all of these performances was having you, our parents, in our school with us!  Thank you for being a part of it!

I wanted to take a moment and thank Dawn O'Connor, our Administrative Assistant, for her years of service at St. Patrick.  In the New Year, Dawn will be taking on a new role as the Office Manager of the Catholic Schools Office!  While it is a tremendous loss for our school community, we know her organizational skills, customer service, and can-do attitude will benefit all 19 schools in the Diocese.  I am so incredibly grateful to have worked alongside her, and I know you will join me in wishing her all the best in her new role.

Dawn will be here off-and-on in January to help us onboard our new administrative assistant, Kristin Robbins.  Kristin and her family are relatively new to Charlotte, having moved here with her family from Michigan earlier this school year.  She is a parishioner at St. Matthew, and her two daughters attend HTCMS.  Kristin brings with her over 5 years of experience as a school administrative assistant and secretary in Michigan, several years managing the office of a small business, and holds a business degree from the University of Northern Iowa.  We are looking forward to having her join the St. Patrick Catholic School Family!

I pray you all have a blessed Christmas and a joyous New Year!  Click here for a Christmas message from our Catholic Schools Business Office.  I look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.

“Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High."

Luke 1:30-32

God's Blessings,

A LETTER FROM MRS. O'CONNOR

To My Wonderful St. Patrick Family,

I wanted to thank all of the staff, administration, parents, and students for making my years at St. Patrick so memorable and loving. I began my journey at St. Patrick 13 years ago as a quiet, sometimes clueless, kindergarten parent eager to become a part of a school community. And, wow, St. Patrick School did not disappoint! The many lifelong friendships I have made over the years through my time as a parent, classroom teacher assistant and admin assistant are something I will cherish forever and it is hard to say goodbye. These past 5 years have been the most special - giving me an opportunity to work with and really get to know all of our amazing staff, parents, and especially all of the students! The smiles and hugs from the children are the greatest part of my day. And the traditions of St. Patrick are some of the best I have experienced anywhere. I will be sure to stop in regularly to help out and have some fun! Thank you for all of the well wishes and prayers as I move on in my journey. I’ll be physically a little farther away from St. Patrick (by only a few miles!) but you will always be in my heart.

God bless,

Dawn O'Connor

IMPORTANT REMINDER TO PARENTS:

We have been having issues with tardy students arriving at or after 8AM. This causes a disruption to the classroom and to morning prayers. Staff and safety patrol will be inside the school with the door closed when prayers begin at 8AM. If the door to the gym is closed, a parent must walk the student to the front entrance of the school and sign them in with Mrs. Arigoni. Do not drop your student off in carpool and have them knock on the gym door or come in to the school on their own. Thank you.

IMPORTANT- COVID Protocol

For all COVID related issues/questions please email Principal Tobergte, Nurse Tobben, and Mrs. O'Connor:

All positive cases reported after 3:00PM Monday through Friday will be addressed the following school day.

All positive cases reported over the weekend will be addressed the next day that school is in session.

If your child has a hardcopy negative result, he/she must stop in the school office upon arrival at school on his/her return date with the negative results.  Home tests are not permitted for re-entry to school at this time.

 BIG CHANGES COMING

TO OUR SCHOOL GARDEN!

St. Patrick's beloved vegetable garden is getting a makeover! The garden will be graded to allow for better drainage, a new irrigation system will be installed and a new aluminum fence will replace the broken wooden fence. The renovation will span several months and wrap up in plenty of time for the spring planting season. Thank you Boy Scout Pack 9 for volunteering to demo the old fence and beds! And thank you parents for your support of the Pot of Gold campaign which helps fund these and other school projects.

The schedule below is subject to change if conditions improve and full school Mass can begin, but we wanted to get the information out to parents in advance. Students only need to wear their Mass uniforms on the Fridays when their class has Mass. Regular uniforms can be worn on non-Mass days.
