2021 Diamond Jubilee Horse Show |

The weather was beautiful in Del Mar last month when the Miller Show Team attended the 4-day Diamond Jubilee Horse Show at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. The event was well attended and the Miller Team showed over 30 horses and 34 riders/drivers for a total of 130 entries. The Show Team brought home tons of ribbons, with some highlights being the $1,000 Stake Class win, eight Tricolor Championships, five Reserve Championships and 26 First Place blue ribbons! WOWZA! Congratulations to all our exhibitors, as you made this a truly special experience for all involved! See some individual highlights below. |

Lindsay Heliker teamed up with SN Mardi Gras Boogie to take the Morgan Hunt Seat Equitation 17&Under class, the English Pleasure Hunt Seat Jr. Exhibitor class as well as the AMHA Hunt Seat on the Flat Medal 21&Under. Shannon McTaggert took the irons on Rustic V’s Bottom Line to win the Morgan English Pleasure Open class and Brooke Gronau was up on SN Mardi Gras Boogie to win the $1,000 English Pleasure Hunt Seat Open Championship Stake in a very deep class of 9. Yes folks, you heard that right, $1,000 cold hard cash. CONGRATS!!! |

Ann Blankenship brought several horses to the show and they all shined. Ann drove Spirit of New York to the blue in the ASB Country Pleasure Driving class as well as Evening Roses “Eve” to top honors in the ASB Fine Harness Amateur class. She brought home the tricolor driving Private Eyes “April” in the Morgan Pleasure Driving Open Championship as well Spirit of New York “April” to the tricolor in the ASB Country Pleasure Driving Championship class. Frank Miller was in the driver’s seat with Evening Roses to bring home the blue in the ASB Fine Harness Open and drove Private Eyes, to the blue in the Morgan Pleasure Driving Open class. Lucia Struck took the irons on Callaway’s Naughty & Nice bringing home the tricolor championship in the deeply competitive ASB Three-Gaited Junior/Amateur class. |

Katie Jackson moved up to the Adult division this year and she and SMSE Red Lighting “Jolene” came out on top of the Saddle Seat Equitation Adult class, AMHA Saddle Seat Medal 21&Under |

class and brought home the Reserve Championship in the Morgan English Pleasure Open class. Katie also took the tricolor in the Saddle Seat Equitation Adult Champion class. |

In their first horse show together, Uncommon Jewel and Keara Holland brought home the blue in the English Pleasure Saddle Seat Open, the ASB Three Gaited Show Pleasure Jr. Exhibitor and the Saddle Seat Equitation 14-17 class. They also took a trip down victory lane bringing home the tricolor ribbon in very competitive Saddle Seat Equitation Championship 14-17. Every girl needs her Jewel, and Keara certainly found hers! |

Tamara Moravec drove the hair off her boy Morengo SS to take home the Reserve Champion honors in the Morgan Classic Pleasure Driving Championship and Tamara’s mare, Old School Grove, “Viv” brought home the tricolor in the Morgan Park Saddle Junior/Amateur Championship class with Lucia Struck in the irons. We just LOVE Tamara's show clothes CLASS ACT!! |

- Betsy Krutek brought home Reserve Championship honors aboard Dragon Rage in the Morgan Western Pleasure Junior Horse Championship.
- SLR Sam Spade continued his winning streak with Brooke Gronau in the irons in the deep Morgan Western Pleasure Open class. Sam is owned by Linda Yule.
- Frank Miller saw blue in the ASB Junior/Limit Fine Harness class with She’s A Tiger.

Academy Show Team Highlights |

|
- Paige Torok and Festival Bossanova were truly harmonized taking home the blue in the Academy Walk/Trot Equitation 12&Under class, the Academy Walk/Trot Showmanship 12&Under class as well as the Academy Walk/Trot Equitation 12&Under class.
- Ali Boyte drove VVM Litigator to bring home the blue in the Academy Pleasure Driving class.
- Sloan Thompson was abord Rum Brook Immortal Valor “Captain” to win the blue in the Walk/Trot Equitation Lead Line 10&Under class.
- Miss June took the blue in the Lead Line Class on Deer Creek Sharpdressedman "Slick".
- Hannah Nack was seeing blue aboard Festival Bossanova in the Academy Walk/Trot Equitation Leadline Riders 10&Under class.
- Unconventional and Audrey Thornton brought home the blue in the competitive Academy WTC Showmanship 17&Under.

JOIN US THIS WEEKEND at Miller Equestrian Horse Show Practice Lesson & The Corona Classic Horse Show Saturday, May 1st - Horse Show Practice Lesson Schedule a private lesson with Morgan Horse Judge, Cathy Grimes. She will give you insider tips and tricks on what the judges are looking for in the show ring. Private lessons are $60 each. Sunday, May 2nd - The Corona Classic Horse Show Come out and watch the Miller Show Team strut their stuff at The Corona Classic Horse Show! Show begins promptly at 10 a.m. Exhibitors, please be at the barn no later than 9 a.m. and remember to bring your make-up and hair bun stuff! |

CHARITY FAIR HORSE SHOW June 9-12, 2021 Del Mar Fairgrounds 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd., Del Mar The Charity Fair Horse Show takes place during the San Diego County Fair and is a benefit for the Pet Encounter Therapy and Therapeutic Riding program at Helen Woodward Animal Center, and the Don Diego Scholarship Foundation. NEW TO THE BARN Congratulations to Clara on Unicorn Simply a Star. "AJ" is out of He's Simply Marvelous x Star Of Midnight. This 13-year old gelding has shown successfully in the Morgan Hunter Pleasure division and will certainly be Clara’s unicorn. Much thanks to Sandra Gonzales for allowing this beautiful gelding and Clara to team up for 2021! |
