We ask that you carefully READ these email updates.  One of the biggest details we have stressed all summer was that the Capital Skate Fest is being hosted by Mayor Muriel Bowser and the DC Office of Cable Television Music Film and Entertainment. I have played an active role in helping them plan so that you have a true skaters experience. The city "getting it right," was really important to me and I've learned so much in the process. Event CHECK-IN at the HYATT CENTRIC. The hospitality space is at the top of the lobby stairs, just behind the bar. Here you'll get your weekend pass, catch up with skate fam, visit with vendors and hopefully GetYourSk8s Shined! 

LEGENDS GALA  

Are you ready for Friday night? Have you told your closest friends and 30+ skate family? What are you wearing Friday night? We can't wait to see how you rock it! The one thing you need to be sure of BEFORE you get your new heels or buy that new suit and tie ... be sure you have purchased your Legends Gala event ticket!

SUNDAY, NOV 3 

We take a family field trip to the newest Smithsonian. The National Museum of African American History and Culture.
We will be taking METRO from the hotel.  Our goal is to arrive early enough to take some amazing group photos down on the National Mall and out in front of the museum.

If you are flying on Sunday afternoon or evening, leave your bags with the hotel. It's easy to get back -- give yourself enough time. The airport is 4 miles away from both the museum and hotel. Large suit cases CAN NOT enter the museum with you.
