Dear Seafoodies
No we're not talking about hosiery! The news is that Bute St Seafoodie is ramping up the fish on the 'net.
First, the site can now be accessed via its own domain which has a much faster response time than before and less of the ads.

Second, Bute St Seafoodie is now on Instagram with pictures of recipes posted as and when they get created. For those so inclined, do have a look and start following.

Third, and by happy coincidence, we were treated to a reappearance of the net-caught fish last weekend, the weeds having subsided sufficiently so as to allow the nets to go down and, more importantly, the fish to come back up. Dover sole and plaice were on the stall in abundance, and there were a few red mullet, cuttlefish and a gurnard too.
I have made a few of my favourites in the last few days, including pan-fried Red Mullet with Cumin and Cuttlefish and Bean Stew. Also, as some of the summer veg comes to toward the end of their season I've been using crab meat to make some Asian-inspired dishes, Singapore Crab Vermicelli featuring peas, and Crab and Sweetcorn Soup featuring, yep, sweetcorn. If you are still able to get hold of fresh peas in the pod then I do recommend trying the Singapore Crab Vermicelli as, with the prep done in advance, it's so quick to make and sooooo tasty!
