Fentanyl Facts

Where does illicit fentanyl come from?

“Illicit fentanyl is the black market version of the drug obtained or made by dealers and mixed into pills, other powders, blotter papers and liquids, etc. in “labs” with no quality controls. The risk of illicit fentanyl is two-fold. Illicit fentanyl, often made in Mexico, is not manufactured to the same quality standards as the pharmaceutical fentanyl commonly used for medicinal purposes. The potency of illicit fentanyl found in items sold in illegal markets can vary widely from maker to maker, or even from batch to batch, and the buyers don’t know the contents of what they are getting*. Fake pills are then being made, sometimes with inconsistent amounts of illicit fentanyl."

227 Spotlight: Heidi Nesheim

Sam was a very passionate runner and one of his all time favorite coaches was Heidi Nesheim. Recently, Heidi participated in a marathon in honor of SBC. She ran with a poster on her back of Sam Chase and fentanyl facts. Heidi, thank you for helping to spread awareness and share the dangers of fentanyl. We appreciate you and the role you had in Sam’s life. His adorable thank you note is below:) Those who know Sam know he was a phenomenal thank you note writer.

A Big Donation

This week we gave a large donation to Song For Charlie for their New Drug Talk resource portal for parents. The website will provide wonderful education and free tools to help families stay safe, as well as free resources & expert advice to help you learn about the dangers of fentanyl. We were able to make this happen because of you all believing in us and your kind donations so thank YOU from the bottom of our hearts. If you are interested in doing this, never hesitate to reach out to us how YOU can help. We are here to support & can send you goodies as well.
