Hello CCCHS Members! Happy summer! Thank you to everyone who attended last month’s CCCHS picnic. It’s always nice to connect and re-connect with colleagues. The Networking Bingo was also a fun addition to the day. As a friendly reminder, we will keep with tradition and NOT have a membership meeting in the months of July and August, but we’ll be back in September with a full line-up. Karen will continue with the newsletter over the summer, so please email fliers and updates to ccchs2@gmail.com by the 15th of the month. We hope you were able to pick-up a copy of our Centre County Human Services Guide in The Gazette last week. If not, view our digital copy available here. Centre County Office of Aging 2023 Farmers’ Market Voucher information 2023 Farmers’ Market Voucher participants must be 60 years of age or better by December 31, meet the income guidelines, and be a resident of Centre County. Income is self-declared; no documentation is needed, but requires a signature on the Federal form verifying gross income guidelines are met. The 2023 income guidelines: One Person, $26,973; Two People, $36,482. New for 2023, each eligible person receives five $10 checks for a total of $50. The checks are for purchasing fresh fruits and vegetables that must be grown in Pennsylvania. | | |

Centre Foundation will be accepting proposals for its Giving Circle grant starting on July 11. Centre Foundation’s Giving Circle is made up of like-minded community members who vote for which transformational project they would like to see in our community. Since this program began in 2006, members have distributed $220,000 in grants to support local nonprofit projects. Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations that serve Centre County are encouraged to submit a proposal for a dynamic project before the August 24, 2023 deadline.
