June 16, 2023

I can't believe the day has finally come that I am updating this newsletter from Nsukka, Nigeria - sitting in my own home, on my brand new couch that was just delivered yesterday! (Be sure to check out the video at the end of this newsletter to see how the boys got the couch into my second floor apartment.) Today is one month since leaving America and I truly can't wait to see what God has in store over the next year. Thank you so much to each and every one of you who have prayed for me along the way and those who have contributed financially. I could not be where I am without any of you.

This first month has been a lot of settling in and getting back into the swing of things. I had Typhoid Fever after only a week in the country. That's a new record for me! Last week I traveled to Abuja, the capitol of Nigeria, to complete my green card application. That's been a long process that started back in April. Day to day I've been working on curriculum for the school and spending the evenings with the kids at A Place of Hope. There are about six weeks of school left then moving forward, the curriculum writing part of my job will turn into fine tuning instead of writing from scratch.

Coming up over the next month, we have 6th grade graduation from Cornerstone Christian Academy as well as four of A Place of Hope's seniors graduating from their high school. We will also be having our annual Family Fun Day so all of the graduates who are spread throughout the country will be traveling home to spend the weekend with us. Please be praying for their safe travels!

If you're not following me on Facebook or Instagram yet, be sure to look me up!

I try to add pictures and updates daily so you can keep up with the adventures, prayer requests, and everything in between.

God bless each of you and as always, thank you so much for your continued prayers and support!

2 BIGGEST NEEDS: Monthly Support & Prayer

While I have raised the basic funds needed to stay in Nigeria for the first 14 months, it is time to start focusing on full monthly support, in order to maintain long-term service here. Please prayerfully consider partnering with me through a monthly, tax-deductible donation.

Consistent support through prayers is also vital when serving on the mission field! Knowing that I have friends and family back home who keep me in their prayers means more than you'll ever know.
