"We Are Staying Put"

07/2021 Livingsong Newsletter

Blessings dear friends and family,

Sending our love from the Florida state line, whereas the title of this newsletter reads, "We Are Staying Put"!   Yes, we have been eager to send this praise update to each of you who are part of our faithful family in the Lord.   To begin, we first would like to just say that one of the downsides to full-time ministry on the road is just that, traveling "on the road" full time.  The constant change of setting and rigorous schedule are two aspects that can really take their toll on your psychological and physical health if you are not careful.  With that said, moving into an RV in 2016 has helped  tremendously, and as a bonus, allowed us to expand this ministry nationwide.  Over the years, we have also grown to realize the great value in community and building lasting Christ centered relationships.  Aside from technology keeping us in contact with so many of you, a way we believe the Lord has blessed us recently to enjoy the fellowship of others is by the invitation to serve our dear friends from this church you see above. (First Baptist Church of Boulougne, FL).

To elaborate further, we arrived in late June just after serving eight months in the Clearwater/St.Petersburg area.  We intended to make our way towards Georgia anyways, so the timing was perfect once we received the invitation from our dear friends and faithful ministry partners, Pastor Paul and Tracy Lucas.  Lord willing, we are ”Staying Put” here until the end of the year serving in various areas which we’ll share in more detail on an upcoming Youtube Vlog!   A few church members were also so kind as to donate 28 warm winter blankets and 31 sweaters to the men and women staying at the Good News Shelter in Gainesville, Georgia where we hosted a chapel service on July 21st.

As you can see on this photo below, they are also taking very good care of our home on wheels.  This big canopy is definitely protecting our RV from the Florida summer storms and extreme heat we’ve been experiencing lately. Every blessing continues to remind us to keep our focus and trust on our Great God who is the source of everything we need.  We truly believe each of you who faithfully support our efforts, are a part of this journey the Lord has called us to.  Thank you for standing with us in prayer and giving monthly, to move forward in the great commission!

So what’s next?  First stay tuned for our 2021 Undergarment Drive update for the homeless community in Jacksonville in the next newsletter.  We are also looking forward to our upcoming recovery support worship services in South Daytona, Starke, and Jacksonville. Details on our website.  While no one knows what challenges will come in 2022, we hope to travel up the East Coast towards New England again once we finish fulfilling our ministry commitments in Florida.  Two doors have opened for the homeless and recovery ministry in Canada also so we would love your feedback, any insight you may have would be much appreciated. Until next time, please share any prayer requests we can be praying for you about.  "9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. 11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do."  (1 Thessalonians 5:9-11)   Love you all, and God bless.
