Staff Spotlight

At the end of 2020, REDC Graphic Designer and Design Business Advisor, Laura Harper Lake, was named one of the 10 to Watch in the Seacoast, as a leader in the Seacoast’s up-and-coming generation.

Laura has been with REDC for over eight years, and along with designing publications and graphics and developing the REDC website, she also helps assist small businesses with their graphic  design and website needs.

10 To Watch News

Most recently, Laura was featured in an article in Seacoast Online, celebrating her own milestone: Five years in business as a LLC, for her small business Artful Harper Studios. A feat she credits REDC for helping her with.

Excerpt from Seacoast Online:

An art business of one doesn't usually bother with an LLC, but for Harper, it was a calculated decision. The day job is as a graphic designer for a Regional Economic Development Center, which helps small businesses, "working there gave me the confidence to start my own." She learned to create a business plan and formalize efforts, which has allowed her to "put my art out in the world in a professional setting."

Congratulations, Laura, on the business milestone and for pursing your small business dreams!
