Community Gathers for the SNOW MOON Twilight Hike

 

Community members witnessed Kurtz Woods State Natural Area's dedication into the Old Growth Forest Network (OGFN) at the SNOW MOON Twilight Hike event, which was followed by a luminary hike as the Snow Moon was visible on this clear winter evening.

It is a bit ironic that a golf course has been transformed into a migratory bird sanctuary. The number of golf terms that relate to the landscape and birds themselves makes the transition a bit poetic.
