hello july!

Elise here from the blog 'Thoughtfully Considered'

Thanks for being here!

Well what a rollercoaster last couple of months!

A virus forced the world to a standstill

NZ was in complete lockdown

My mum was trapped in NZ (not a bad thing)

I had our baby girl in lockdown

and Zane proposed with a song!

So my blog and newsletters are back!

Hello to my new subscribers- thanks for joining me.

Our baby girl is 13 weeks old now, um where did that time go and I'm not going to lie those new born weeks were tough!!! Recovering from a quite a traumatic birth and then navigating how to be the best mum you can be with no idea what you are doing- challenging is my word for it. But we are doing great all things considered and I feel so lucky that this cute little button of a beb chose me as her mumma. We didn't know we were having a girl so that was a huge surprise too as I really thought we were having a boy- intuition was WAY off on that one.

I managed to work on lots of content photos before Indi came along so have lots of new posts coming up- YAY!

How do you plan to be more 'thoughtful' this month?

Perhaps you could try with making a change for #plasticfreejuly

some ideas...

Swap out that cling film for beeswax wraps

Get some net bags for your supermarket veggies

Refuse to buy bottled water, take your own water bottle with you and refill instead

Take your own fabric bread bag to the bakery for some fresh bread

Pack your coffee cup for any takeaways you might need throughout the day

Take your own jars and containers and fill them up

The planet will feel good

I actually find it quite fun, I recycle the Fix and Fogg peanut butter jars for all my dry goods, oh and if you are into Peanut Butter- this is actually the BEST and its made here in Wellington!

Inspiring tiny living video

I love this Tiny House build by Matt and Lisa located in the Blue Mountains of Australia and it's worth a watch.

I love:

The cat run and yard (we have cats so this would be essential for us)

The jet black exterior

The HUGE kitchen sink

The plant ceiling

The hexagon marbled tiles and timber

The floating bookshelves

A must see episode from Living big in a tiny house.

Podcast episode of the month

Alexx Stuart chats to Dr Karen Phillip Counselling Psychotherapist; Clinical Hypnotherapist and a Parenting and Relationship Expert and of course, Hypnotherapist about the power of hypnotherapy.

Dr Karen Phillip says “It’s one thing to know what you want, but another to know how to get it, let me help you achieve your goals”.

After listening to this podcast I ended up purchasing both the sleep and trauma hypnotherapy tracks and they have helped me immensely, especially going through the grief of losing my Dad.

I loved this chat and think you will too!
